Porsche shared the spot light with Cadillac as the other Honored Marque at his years Louisville Concours d'Elegance. Porsche Racing was the theme with emphasis on the 1st two decades, 1951-1971. The 356 Porsche Roadster, brain child of Ferry Porsche (Dr. Ferdinand's son), started it all in 1948. Ferry wanted to build a successful 2 place sports car based on Volkswagen parts. With over 60 years of production, Porsche is synonymous with Motor Sport Excellence

Along with Porsche many other Sports Cars were participating at this years event. Below is a Beautiful one of a kind Alpha Romeo 6C 1750 Aprile.  The 1953 Kaiser Darrin drew a crowd of admirers throughout the day and understandably so, they do not surface very often. Corvette is usually given credit for originating the use of Fiberglass Body's for a production a car, not exactly true, because the 1953 Kaiser Darrin also used a Fiberglass Body.  The 1966 427/425 Corvette was a Knock-Out with it's Saddle interior, Gold Line Tires and Knock-Off Wheels. It is owned by Dennis and Sharon Smith from Bowling Green, Kentucky - Home of the National Corvette Museum

The Super Nice '72 Corvette Convertible made it's way from Cincinnati, Ohio and belongs to David and Diane Schwoeppe. The Yellow Lamborghini Diablo is "NOT" owned by the young guy standing next to it although he would like for everyone to think that it does. Nice try Nick! We know your little Mind Games.

The "Original" 1966 427 Cobra belongs to Kevin Collins of Louisville. As signed on Kevin's glove box door by the late Carroll Shelby "One of the Best", I think that everyone agrees with Carroll. Fairly new to this Louisville event is "Display Car" parking. It is reserved for Car Club's and anyone driving a "Cool Car" to the event. The Red '71 Corvette is ours. It was the 1st time I have had it on the road this year, that is Pretty Sad considering it is already October, next month I will be putting it away for the winter... "Sadder"
