The "Motorama" Fab Four, no not the Beatles, the other Fab Four, were all proudly being displayed by Neil and Patricia Deatley - Scottsdale Az. These 1953 Cars;  the Buick Skylark, Cadillac Eldorado, Chevrolet Corvette and the Oldsmobile Fiesta were all Factory Built Custom Cars created for display at the 1953 GM Motorama Shows, with a limited offering of each being offered for sale to those with "Large Check Books". Just 300 Corvettes were built. Cadillac priced the Eldorado at $7,750 with only 533 being produced. The Oldsmobile Fiesta sold 458 units with a list price of $5715. Buick used its' '53 Skylark to Promote and Celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The Custom Skylark was only offered for two years with 1690 being produced the 1st year. All 4 of these GM "Dream cars" had very Lofty prices for which no doubt accounted for their small production numbers. Today Fine examples of any of these Post War Classics can sell in the 150K - $400K plus price range, again that "Large Check Book" thing...

Walking amongst some of Harley Earl's, Finest Work... I felt like I had possibly Crossed Over into the Promise Land. Harley Earl was the director of General Motors Art and Color division.  His Successor was William "Bill" Mitchell, who was responsible for just about every desirable GM offering from the 1960's and into the early 70's. The deep Red Cadillac Convertible belongs to Daniel Withers - Phoenix Arizona. The Blue 1954 Coupe DeVille also from Phoenix is owned by Phil Terry

A Gorgeous and Seldom seen Ghia - Chrysler. This was Ghia's display car at the 1962 New York Auto Show. The original cost was $13,000 in 1962. Twenty Six cars were produced with 17 of them still accounted for. John White from Sacramento, Ca. is the current owner. This is believed to be the Best Original example to be found. Every aspect of the car is original, including paint, interior and fitted luggage. The Ghia L 6.4 Coupe is powered by a 383 Chrysler V8 engine. This Ghia has traveled only 29,000 miles since new

Cobra owner Philippe Reyns, Blue 1965 289 Car,  Brendan and Mary Kay Finn owner of the Silver Blue 1966 427 "Narrow Hip" Version and Skip and Margo Atkins with their Dark Green 427 1966 Cobra definitely would have made the late Carroll Shelby proud. The 3 Cobra's drew admirers throughout the day

The Arizona Biltmore Resort is the only existing Luxury Hotel in the World with a Frank Lloyd Wright - influenced design. It has been an Arizona landmark since it opened in 1929. It is known as the "Jewel of the Desert". The Resort was designed by Harvard Graduate, Albert Chase McArthur. He studied for 2 years under Frank Lloyd Wright in Chicago from 1907-1909

Nope, Not part of the Show... just a few of the many Nice Cars found in the parking lot, as in the "Spectators Parking" lot. The 1932 Lincoln, Sporting a Boattail Body, really caught my eye. I was hoping to run into the owner and learn something about it... No doubt a One Off Custom
