1936 1937 810 and 812 Cord's were well represented this year along with a few L-29 Cords. The L-29 Cord was
America's First Front Wheel Drive Car. The L-29's were produced for four years beginning in 1929

Auburn Automobiles were produced from 1900 - 1936. In the beginning the Company was selling cars but they were expensive to produce and which made their Cars Expensive to Buy. Sales continued to decline. The Company was heading towards receivership before being purchased by a group of Chicago Business men. Sales began to increase but the 1921-1922 Recession hurt the Company. The new owners elected to recruit Errett Lobban Cord to save the Auburn Automobile Company. Mr. Cord not only saved the Auburn Automobile Company but he went on to Own it, later purchasing Duesenberg and introducing the Cord Automobile

The Gordon Buehrig styled 1935 and 1936 Auburn 851 and 852 Speedsters to me are some of the Most Beautiful Cars in the World. The total production numbers for the two years is estimated to be 500 cars. The Cars were basically Hand Built and were quite Expensive. They were priced at $2245, Sounds Cheap, but not in 1935/1936 Money. As a Comparison, a New Deluxe '35 Chevrolet sold in the $600 range
