My favorite Show Field Classes are the ones that represent the Classic Car era of Prewar Automobiles. It is an era that will never be duplicated. Designer Gordon Buehrig used "Rolling Sculpture" as the title to his 1975 book. That is a very befitting description to this era of Automobiles. They are Rolling Sculptures. The Stock Market Crash and Depression was the downfall to many of the High End automobile company's. The ones that did survive had no choice but to lower their standards to stay afloat and compete with the lesser mass produced cars. It was an exciting era of Automobiles and that is why they have achieved the status of "The Classics"
