This 1965 Mark IV 427 Corvette "Cut-Away" was just Way to Cool and as would be expected drew curious and appreciative admirers throughout the day. This is a past Chevrolet Engineering Development Car for the new 427 Mark IV engine that would be available in the 1966 model year Corvette. What this car is missing in parts is more than compensated for with it's rich Research and Development History. The car is currently owned by Ed Foss. All restoration work and special modifications were performed by "Corvette Repair" in Valley Stream, New York

Below are some of the Performance Cars competing in the "American Muscle Cars 1964-1971" class. The Shelby GT500 Convertible shown below is a 1967 model. I know... Ford did not offer '67 Shelby Convertibles. This was the Engineering Prototype for the soon to be offered 1968 Shelby GT Convertibles. This is the only 1967 Shelby Convertible in existence and it has been painstakingly restored. Earlier this year the car competed in the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance in Lexington, Kentucky. It is currently part of Styles Collection

The weather as mentioned early was not quite what anyone wanted but it did not hamper our stay at the West Baden Springs Hotel at all. This Historic European Style Hotel is absolutely Beautiful. The service we received, the staff, our meals and our room were all Top Shelf.  We will definitely be reserving rooms for next years Concours. I would recommend either of the French Lick Resort Hotels, but the West Baden Springs Hotel is my favorite. The Seventh Annual Louisville Concours d'Elegance will take place October 3rd-5th 2014. The featured Marques will be the cars from Shelby American and  Indiana built Historic and Classic Cars. www.louisvilleconcours.com
