Roger Penske was being Honored at this years Amelia - The Cars of Roger Penske. Penske has had an amazingly Successful Racing and Business Career. He has managed 540 Wins over 50 plus years of Racing. That includes 2 Daytona 500 Win's, 18 Indianapolis 500 Wins and over 30 National Championship Wins. Mr. Penske, now 83, was at this years event
"The Cars of Roger Penske" was a Very Impressive Collection of his Cars. I was always a Fan the Team Penske Blue Sunoco Cars

Probably one of the Most Valuable Cars at the Show and another One of my Favorites - The Ferrari 250 GTO. Yup this one was a Penske Car along with the Porsche Spyder below. Enzo was not too happy when Pontiac introduced the 1964 "GTO" but that did not stop Pontiac from using  the "GTO" model name. The Pontiac GTO is considered by many to be the 1st American Muscle Car. GTO is an Italian abbreviation for "Gran Turismo Omologata" which means Officially Certified for Racing in the Grand Tourer Class

Arguably One of the Most Valuable Corvette's in the World - the Corvette Grand Sport. Only 5 were Built for Chevrolets Short Lived "Official" Racing Program. Zora Arkus Duntov was the Father of the Corvette  Grand Sport Program.  Zora did not take the "No" in the infamous 1963 GM Racing Ban as really meaning "No". There are many "Out of the Back Door" stories that tell of what was done to keep the Grand Sport Corvettes Racing and Winning. The Grand Sport was Chevrolets Cobra Fighter and it was Successful Many Times Over. All 5 Grand Sport Corvettes still exist today - this is One of them
