The Auburn Boattail Speedster was well represented at this years 59th National ACD Club's Auburn Reunion
My pick of Speedsters was this Gorgeous Blue 851 model with a Striking Red Leather interior. Seeing this car was just the inspiration I needed to start buying Lottery Tickets again
Curt Schulze was busy fielding questions most of the day Saturday in Eckhart Park about his latest Auburn project. Curt's Speedster looked great in an original Auburn "Preston Green" color. Curt is the owner of Auburn Midwest. He is a Good Guy and a great source for original and reproduction 1935 and 1936 Auburn parts
The Reunion's turn out of 810 and 812 Cords is always impressive. The 1936 and 1937 Cords were EL. Cords second attempt at successfully bringing a Front Wheel Drive Car to market. It would be almost 40 years later before another American Front Wheel Drive would be introduced, enter the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. Although... Glenn Pray did reintroduce the Front Wheel Drive Cord with his Limited Production Cord 8/10 in 1963
