Perhaps this year's Reunion, being dedicated to the Duesenberg, may have been the inspiration for the owner of this Second Generation SSJ to bring it to Auburn. I have seen it one other time and that was at the 2010 Duesenberg Speed Event. Only two (2) Original SSJ's were produced and not many more of the Recreations were built, I believe there were only 6. They were produced by the Duesenberg Company of Gardenia, California and were constructed on Dodge Truck frames utilizing a Chrysler Drive Line.  Not too many years ago this Duesenberg was offered at Auction on the internet. I remember Bidding on it, but I just do not recall me Winning it... #$%&*@

The turn out of Second Generation Cars may have been down a little this year, but there were some Nice examples to look over. I hate to admit it, but I was one of those "I did not Bring my Car" Guys. We had made plans to haul some Stuff back home with us and my Speedster is definitely short on any  Extra Space. There is barely enough room for me and a passenger. The Second Generation Cars were displayed in their usual spot, "over the bridge and to the right". I will try to do better next year by practicing what I preach, "Drive your Auburn to Auburn!"

Doug Pray and Felix DeGeyter brought their Fabulous 874 Auburn Phaetons. Only 16 of these 874 Auburns were produced. They were built by Doug's Father Glenn Pray. The idea of a Dual Cowl Auburn was a collaboration between Doug and his father, Glenn in the early 1970's. The original Auburn Automobile Company never offered a Dual Cowl Phaeton like the 874, but the two finished products as seen here are no less of a True Classic Automobile Design. Doug still operates the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co, that his father purchased in Auburn, Indiana and moved it to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1960. They still offer Original Parts for Auburns and Cords... like they advertise, they still have  "Tons" of Original Parts to select from

I only spotted one of the Glenn Pray 8/10 Cords. Past years have seen a few more of these Smaller Cords show up. I will have to check with Mr. 8/10, Felix DeGeyter to see what happened to the other Cord Owners this year

Yep, that's my Buddy Wes. Crunching numbers or planning his Next Show. Work Work Work...
