I read about this Corvette as a Kid, "The Entombed Corvette" as it would later be known. I saw it at one of the Bloomington Gold Show's, don't remember which one, I believe it was 1996. It is a Great Car with a Great Story behind it. This Corvette was purchased new by Richard Sampson and driven sparingly over the next 5 years before being placed "in a wall" in one Richards Grocery Stores. He left a window and one 60 watt light bulb to view the car where it was to remain until the year 2000. Due to the building being sold 27 years later it had to be removed earlier than planned. Mr. Sampson had passed, his daughter Cynthia took possession of the Corvette. She stored it her living room for the next 10 years. At that time the car had still only accumulated a mere 2335 miles. Corvette Racer, also known as Mr. Corvette, Dick Guldstrand passed away last year at 87 years old. Being offered for auction was one of the Corvettes driven by Mr. Guldstrand. The "8 Ball Cobra Killer" was very successful in its day, winning 46 of the 49 West Coast races it ran in one season

The automobile manufacturers spare no expense in staking out real-estate and then filling it with their Cool Displays. Chevrolet promoted as you would expect the Corvette and Camaro. Chrysler pushed Challenger SRT Hellcats and Vipers while Ford showcased their many faces of the Mustang
