1936 Auburn Speedster replica one-of-a-kind build for a tall driver but easily converted to standard drivers. This Speedster is not a show car but turns heads and gets request for pictures everywhere it goes. It appears that car is one of the last Auburn Speedsters that Elegant Motors ever produced. The unassembled body sat in a barn in Indiana for twenty years until I bought it. The body is painted in a light oyster (cream) with rock hard two-part polyurethane paint made by Epifanes USA. Sporting a traditional 1930's style Carson top (steel frame) along with an 18" windshield allowing apple headroom. The cranberry top is Steadfast material in deep cranberry. The interior has a walnut dash and period style gauges, cranberry bench seat in marine vinyl

The frame was designed to be very rigid with 3" x 5" rectangular tubular steel. The chassis has coil springs in the front with coil over shocks in the back with Chevy steering and rear axle. In our design process it was determined inline engines best suited a slender Speedster body. Therefore, I put a 6-cylinder Chevy 250 inline using Holley 390 four BBL carburetor with dual exhaust  along with GM 350 transmission
