SORRY THIS ONE IS SOLD!  I HAVE DECIDED TO SELL MY AUBURN IN ORDER TO FINANCE MY NEXT CADILLAC PROJECT.... "DIABOLICAL PURPLE II" THIS IS A 1936 AUBURN BOATAIL SPEEDSTER. IT IS A SECOND GENERATION CAR THAT WAS FACTORY BUILT IN 1979, BY ANTIQUE AUTOMOBILES OF AMERICA. THEY WERE LOCATED IN LARGO FLORIDA. THE COMPANY HAS MORPHED INTO SPEEDSTER MOTOR CARS, ALSO IN LARGO. IT WAS SOLD THROUGH A CADILLAC DEALERSHIP IN  THE LARGO AREA. THIS SECOND GENERATION CAR SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH A REPLICAR, A SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION CAR OR A GARAGE BUILT KIT. THIS IS A FACTORY BUILT, LICENSED AND TITLED AUBURN. IT IS THE EVOLUTION OF A CLASSIC. THESE CARS ARE STILL PRODUCED.. BUT COST BETWEEN 100K AND 140K DEPENDING ON OPTIONS. WHEN NEW, THIS CAR AT THE TIME OF IT'S SALE, WAS 44K.... FOUR TIMES AS MUCH AS THE CADILLACS IT SAT NEXT TO ON THE DEALERSHIP FLOOR. IT WAS ONE OWNER OWNED... AND HE WAS A CAR DEALER IN NY STATE. THIS CAR WAS KEPT AT HIS FLORIDA HOME. IT WAS HIS TOY. THE CAR HAS METRIC INSTRUMENTATIONS ( IN THOSE DAYS THAT THEY THOUGHT AMERICA WOULD CONVERT TO THE METRIC SYSTEM.). THE AUTO HAS ONLY ABOUT 16500 KILOMETERS ON IT SINCE NEW... WHICH EQUATES TO ABOUT 12,300 ACTUAL MILES. THE MECHANICALS ARE AMAZING. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES AS NEW. IT HAS GLASS PACKS FOR A THROATY SOUND. IT LOOKS AMAZING IN THIS COLOR.... AND IT RUNS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS. THE TOP HIDES DOWN BELOW THE HATCH. IT IS MANUAL. THE MATERIAL IS ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT IS WHAT I WOULD CALL LIKE A HARTZ TOP.

THIS CAR HAS SOME SUPER EXPENSIVE PROTOTYPE OPTIONS THAT ONLY ADD TO THE VALUE AND THE LOOK OF THIS FINE AUTO.

1) HAND MADE METAL SKIRTS WITH  CHROME ORNAMENTATION. THESE ADD TO THE SLEEK LOOK OF THIS ALREADY GORGEOUS CAR. THEY WERE HAND BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS VEHICLE. THEY COME OFF VERY EASILY FOR TIRE REPAIR OR WHEEL DETAILING. THEY ADD A VERY SLEEK TOUCH TO THE LOOK OF THE AUBURN.... AND EVERYONE LOVES IT.

2) WIND DEFLECTOR VISORS. THESE ARE ALSO ONE OF A KIND AND HAND MADE. THE WINDSHIELDS ON THESE CARS WERE DESIGNED FOR LOOKS.... THE WIND DEFLECTORS ON TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD WORK GREAT FOR  REDUCING THE  HIGH AMOUNTS OF WIND THAT MAKE IT OVER THE TOP. IT MAKES THE CAR MUCH MORE HIGHWAY FRIENDLY.

3) THE ORIGINAL COLUMN SHIFTER WAS REMOVED AND AN AUTOMATIC FLOOR SHIFTER WAS ADDED IN ORDER TO INCREASE AUTHENTICITY AND TO ADD TO THE STRIKING  LOOKS OF THE COCK PIT. THIS OUTRAGEOUSLY GORGEOUS CAR HAS A CD PLAYER,

I HAVE OWNED AND RESTORED QUITE A BIT. THE CAR WILL GIVE YEARS OF PLEASURE. IT HAS NOT BROKEN DOWN ON ME.... AND IT RUNS AS SMOOTH AS GLASS. THE CAR HAS AN OLDS DRIVE LINE. IT HAS A 350 ENGINE AND A TURBO 350 TRANS. THIS OLDS MOTOR SHOULD NOT BE CONFUSED WITH THE CHEVY 350. IT HAS TONS OF HORSE POWER AND TONS OF TORQUE.  WHEN THE CAR WARMS UP... YOU CAN SPIN THE TIRES OFF THE CAR. IT DRIVES LIKE A CORVETTE. THE BRAKES STOP ON A DIME. LEAKS ARE MINIMAL. THE CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED AND MAINTAINED BY ME... AND I AM A DETAIL PERSON.

THIS CAR ... THE WAY IT IS... WOULD BE HARD TO DUPLICATE...
