The Corvette Museum is a Living Museum, so the Exhibits are always Changing. There was an
area Showcasing Anniversary Corvettes that was not there the last time I visited

Again you can Thank Harley Earl not only for the Corvette but also for General Motor's Motorama. The Motorama's were a series of GM Auto Shows that were held from 1949 to 1961. The Shows featured GM's Best and  their Futuristic Concept Cars - Dream Cars

Father of Sting Ray - Bill Mitchell.  "Harley Earl recruited Mitchell to General Motors' then new Art and Color Section on December 15, 1935 - Mitchell spent the entirety of his 42-year career in Automobile Design at General Motors, eventually becoming Vice President of Design, a position he held for 19 years until his retirement in 1977. His design stewardship at General Motors became known as the 'Bill Mitchell era". He is responsible for General Motor's most Successful Designs especially the Corvette which was his passion
