The 2013 Dayton Concours d' Elegance took place again in Historical Carrillon Park, Sunday, September 15th, in Dayton, Ohio. This years Honorary Marques, in the words of Concours Chairman Skip Peterson,  we "celebrate three automotive icons: the power and style of the Ferrari, 100 years of Aston Martin and the car that changed America the Corvette Stingray"

This was my first time taking in this Concours event and seeing Carrillon Park. The Park includes a Collection of 30 Historically Significant Buildings that have been recreated or purchased and moved to a Beautiful 65 acre Campus. The Collection of Buildings include Homes and Work Shops of some of Dayton's Greatest Inventors and Scientist'. Other buildings Showcase the Transportation Companies that called the Dayton, Ohio area Home
America's Sports Car, the Corvette, Celebrates it's 60th Anniversary

The Original Corvette "Stingray" was produced from 1963-1967. The Stingray name plate would come and go throughout the early 1970's. It would later be retired in the late 1970's only to be resurrected again and used on the "New" 2014 Corvette. The 1963 - 1967 model year Corvette (Second Generation Cars) will in my mind, always be the True "Stingray"
