The Original "Parade of Progress" Toured the United States in 1936. It's intent was to show the Future of Things to Come to hundreds of city's and small towns across America.  The Tour helped to bring a Resolve to those that were still recovering from the Depression and then the War. The Parade of Progress began again in 1939 at the New York World's Fair. GM built 12  of these Futurliners to again Tour the United States. The Futureliners carried Exhibits that Showcased General Motors Vision of the Future
It's that "Old Guy Thing" again I know, but...  to me Today's Concept Cars just do not have the Look or Generate the Excitement that the Harley Earl, Bill Mitchell and Larry Shinoda Cars do. Their Cars had the Look then and they Still Do today. Just look at the Bill Mitchell StingRay Racer, talk about a Wow Factor
