As good as the Mecum Auction was, this was pretty hard to beat. Dodge had taken a Large Section of the parking lot and were offering "Free" Track Rides. Now I really love "Free", as a matter of fact that is one of my Favorite Beers, but I would have been willing to Shell Out some Cash for this. It was early morning and the the lines were short. You had your Choice of Viper's, Red or Blue, Hellcat Challengers were available in two flavors, Black or White and there were two Hellcat Chargers available in 2 colors and unfortunately both colors came with  "4 Doors".  I held out for the Viper, two reasons; They are going out of production "Again" and  I know I will never own one or have chance to spend any "Track Time" in one... I guess that's 3 reasons

I chose Red for my Viper. It was really a Cool Experience. The Drivers knew how to Drive, if not they certainly had me convinced that they did. After getting in, Strapping up and looking over the Semi-Gutted interior, which looked Awesome, we rolled to the "Launch Pad" to await our "OK to Launch" and Launch we did! The G-Forces had me pinned to the seat heading straight for a Chain Link Fence that did not seem all that far away. I believe we went through that first turn Sideways. A few more hard Lefts and Hard Rights and the the Cockpit started Filling with Tire Smoke and Sounds of the 10 Cylinder's Open Exhaust. The Viper has a Grab Bar and believe me I was using it. Unfortunately the Ride ended way "Too Fast", but you could exit and get back in line again, just like Disney World only Better. My Buddy was going to Film his Viper Ride with his Smart Phone but he soon learned that he did not have enough Hands and enough Guts to let go of the Grab Bar in order film anything. His Driver told him that they go through a Set of Tires every 2-3 hours. I wish earlier in the week I had purchased some Good-Year Sock, Damn!
