There is always a Great Selection of Corvettes at Mecum Auctions. The Bill Mitchell era / Larry Shinoda design Corvettes (1963-1967 Stingrays) are still my favorite. It may have to do with the rear Boattail Design found on the Coupes. Bill Mitchell obviously had a thing for the Boattail look, remember his 1971, 1972 and '73 Buick Riviera. Compare the Rear End treatment and Rear Fenders with the '35/'36 Auburn Speedster, probably not just coincidental

Some of Today's Muscle Cars can certainly hold their own when surrounded by their Vintage counterparts. The "Drag Pack" equipped Challenger is definitely a throw back to the Good Old Days and who says they don't build Pontiac Firebirds anymore.

Though no longer with us, Carroll Shelby will always be part of the Collector Car Culture. He created some of the fastest and most recognized cars in the world. Pictured below is a "One Off" aluminum bodied Continuation Cobra

A vast selection of Beautiful Neon advertising Signs, Memorabilia and Automobile Art and Artist are found each year at this Indianapolis Spring Event. David Snyder was working on a painting of the original "Berger Chevrolet". Berger was definitely involved with Fueling the Muscle Car Craze in the late 1960's and early 70's

A Storm rolled through late Saturday afternoon while we were there. Dark Sky's,  Heavy Winds and a Down Pouring of Rain created some concerns for the owners of the cars parked outside under the giant circus sized tents. It all blew through rather quickly. Thankfully no cars were damaged that we were aware of. Backdraft Racing was not taking ANY Chances with their Cobra's. They closed up shop pretty quick
