The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SRVA) returned to Indianapolis for their 2015 Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational. This is the second year that the event was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) . More than 500 vintage and historic racing cars competed. Racing took place on the Famed 2.5 mile oval and on the IMS Road Course.

The 5 day venue was expanded this year to include Motostalgia's Collector Car auction which took place on Friday and a Saturday morning Car Show, held on the Speedways Golf Coarse. Over 1000 Show Car participants were expected

The Popular Indy Legends Pro-Am Charity Race took place on Saturday pairing Veteran Indianapolis 500 Drivers with Amateur Racing Partners. Cars competing in the Pro-Am Race were of 1963-1972 era and  included many nice Corvettes, Camaro's and Mustangs

I have been a Corvette enthusiast since the mid 1960's thanks to my Dad. On Sundays, he would often stop by the local Chevy Dealerships (while they were closed of course) to look at New and Used Vettes. I remember my Mother constantly reminding my Dad of the fact that he had three daughters and a son (me) and that  Corvette's only had 2 seats. Needless to say he never did buy his Corvette. Fortunately I have owned one or two of them over the past 35 years... Thanks Dad

Bill Thomas was the creator of the Cheetah. It was to be a limited production Racing Car, much like Carroll Shelby's Cobra, except it was powered by Chevrolet. It is estimated that only 23 cars were built before the factory caught fire. The fire Snuffed out any plan to continue Cheetah production
